Topic: slic3r error

Does anybody know what this error means  --- Can't recall method "retract_length" on undefined value at C:/ etc
It goes thru the  slicing process then that appears. I  have looked at all  the setting and for the life of me I can't find  my mistake.

Re: slic3r error

So, what are you trying to slice?

Re: slic3r error

A logo that I created in google sketchup.  The size looks good on the RH platform  when I loaded it.

Re: slic3r error

If there's a part of it that's less than your layer height, slic3r will freak out. It was only fixed 5 hours ago, so unless you're grabbing source and building it yourself, you'll have to change your model instead.

Re: slic3r error

Z height would be the problem or something in the file that makes slicer think z height is too short.

Re: slic3r error

ok  , in google sketchup , is it better to create in a large size and scale it down in RH or vise versa?

Since sketchup was originally designed for architects and building the smallest unit is a 1/16 inch which is fine for large scale stuff but if your designing parts with dimensions that are a hundredth of a millimeter that causes a problem.... so the solution is to start in sketchup with a hundred or a thousand times bigger  then scale it down when all the work on the object is completed.
