Topic: Slic3r side-by-side error

I am having a problem with slic3r, whenever I try to start it I get "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." I have had this before with other programs and usually just fixed it by reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ 20XX. But I have done that and it still won't work. If someone who has a working version of the latest slic3r could maybe go to their programs list on Windows and take a screenshot of all the versions you have installed that may work. I have posted this in the software forum because it isn't actually a problem with the printer itself. Looking for any comments or suggestions.

What OS are you using?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

If this windows is older than vista you might have to go in the registry and remove VC references there then try to update it. If it is vista or newer I'm not sure but it's probably something similar just harder to get windows 'convinced' to update the C runtimes.
