Topic: things created in sketchup

I created 5x5x.5 in. square in Sketchup.I exported it as a stl file. But when I load it into Rh it  only looks like  the size of one of the squares  on RH platform.Just wondering if anybody knows why.I did scale it up 25 times and its printing now tho.

OH another thing about sketchup.  When I created a small  box , it showed a closed bottom. When I  load it in RH it shows an open bottom, that is you can see the the platform gird lines. Any GSUP experts here?

satman,

I'd recommend attaching a sample stl file that is leading to this behavior for you.

The bottom looks like it is just a face with no height to me from viewing it in Kisslicer.

Re: things created in sketchup

Google has several video tutorials on Sketchup that are very helpful. I wasn't able to create anything with it until I watched them.

For simple models I'm very happy with it. For more complex models it's a pain but it could be that I'm still not experienced enough with it.
