Topic: Davinci LED pinout?

I'm replacing the electronics on my Davinci with a RAMPS 1.4 board.  Last item on my list is this:  The LED light strip in the enclosure oddly has a 3 wire hookup.  Any idea what this is?  (Most LEDs are either 2 wire (single color) or 4 wire (RGB leds) )

Also, anyone know that the voltage for the LED strip is?  12V?  5V? 3.3V?

If I remember right its 5v

Re: Davinci LED pinout?

Did you ever figure it out? I have a DaVinci 1.1, here is how you do it:

Carrot marked on LED board, put grnd in middle:

                               12v    Grnd      5V

sshawn has it right. The 12V is used to power the LED strip, while the 5v line is for turning it off/on via a controller pin.

I have a DaVinci Jr LED strip -- I'm sure it's similar if not identical -- that I hooked up to a pin on my RAMPS 1.4 board, and I can turn it on/off via the 5v pin (even control its brightness by setting the pin half on).

Re: Davinci LED pinout?

Not really, they say that you should pay special attention to the power supply and current converter. If you take the wifi light bulb, you need to provide the connection source with the right voltage. If it is a section of the circuit, the values are best measured with an ammeter and voltmeter. If a direct connection is made to the current source (this may be a rectifier, battery or battery), it will be sufficient to know their ratings as indicated in the marking or accompanying documentation. The 5v line designation is just confusing. Re-measure everything and try a different power supply
