Topic: Da Vinci Jr quick fix?
Hello,
I have a Da Vinci Jr 1.0. I am not an expert by any means, so please excuse me if I am using the wrong terms. I was cleaning out the extruder and snapped the port where the hot end plugs into the extruder pcb. My only advice was to try to reconnect it with thermal glue - I tried, even after 24 hours the glue hasn't "cured."
Printer still turns on, and can start processes. When I go to "clean nozzle," it tries heating up and then gives me an 0014 error.
Is there anything I can do to fix this, without it becoming a huge project? I just need this thing to work to finish a project with my 3rd graders. I can't find an exact replacement board. Is there a pcb that I can use with some kind of 12 pin converter? Can I direct connect the 3 plugs from the extruder to the motherboard? An extruder that I can purchase that has it's own pcb that will somewhat fit with the jr?
I appreciate any help.
