Topic: xyz davinci 2.0 issues

I have had my davinci 2.0 for about 5 years now and have primarily used abs. I now want to change to pla and the printer is having issues with it. Running proper temps for pla but mid print the filament stops extruding. I don't have these problems with abs.

The older XYZ machines have an issue with hotend cooling which causes heat creep. This cause the PLA to swell in the feed throat of the hotend and jamming. You need to add more or better cooling to the hotend if you want to print PLA.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
