There are no ads so there is nothing that can hijack your data here. I believe you have to pay extra for a site to be secure.

You can cheat it for free since it already hides behind Cloudflare.

Even on the origin depending on what hosting you have it can be free thanks to Let's Encrypt.

You want full HTTPS because without it passwords can be sniffed over the network.

Re: need to make this a secure website

Manually add the https at the beginning of the url and bookmark it.

Would be good if the forum added a redirect but you can connect https if you choose to. I'm connected via https now.

Do this before login and your session will stay https. Some of the links take you back to http. It's not perfect.

Re: need to make this a secure website

That might not be full security; since they are using Cloudflare you might just be accessing a "Flexible SSL" proxy which decrypts then sends the plaintext over the Internet to the server.

Switching the backend to HTTPS would possibly help with HTTPS-HTTP redirects too.

Re: need to make this a secure website

Internet security is not that hard to find. I learned what VPN is at one time and started using it constantly, regardless of what I do on the Internet. But later, I found out that many sites trace my IP, but it's not even about the sites, but that people can use the sites to get personal information. I started looking for an opportunity to avoid this. I found secure hosting, but I couldn't do it myself and turned to https://www.cubycode.com to help me. Now I am protected from any surveillance, phishing, and other tricks of Internet scoundrels. I think many people know this, but not everyone uses it. Be careful on the Internet!
