Topic: Hex socket depth

I'm in the process of upgrading my 1.6 to a 2.1 but the ~80mm measurement for the shaft collar isn't lining up. (I need to trim the gearbox shaft but that's not the whole problem)  My kit had the dewalt 7/16 deep impact socket, looking at the instructions for 2.1 it show a normal short socket, do I need to switch?  Also, if anyone could give a total length measurement for the auger that'd be great.

Result: Compact socket worked, went with 11mm.  Cut off auger at start of divot in hex part, about 10mm removed.
