Topic: XYZ DaVinci 1.0 Pro print head wire disconnection

Hello Everyone!
I purchased an XYZ DaVinci 1.0 Pro printer about a year ago with my print head. My printer has been running and printing perfectly since, however recently I was printing something and one of the wires that comes out of the extruder came undone and the printer does not seem to have any idea what the temperature is because of this and won't print. I can solder it back in however I want to make sure that it does not need to go in a specific area aside from just on the outside area where the other wire is located. Can anyone help me with this? I would rather try to solder the wire back on over purchasing a new print head.

A picture would be helpful to see just where the wire broke from.

Yep that is a thermistor wire. The issue though is those are usually nickle and won't solder but you can try. You might also look into removing the old one which might require heating and then replacing the thermistor.

Would it short or cause damage to the printer if we try soldering it and it doesnt go to the right spot by chance?

Would i solder them back into the same spot? do they go together? Will it cause issues if they touch?

You can see the shorter wire sticking out. That is where the break was, Yes it is bad for the wires to touch. The both need to be insulated from each other and anything around them.
