Topic: Even more important the nfc requirement is gone when using cura

Even more important the nfc requirement is gone when using cura. So they didn't get rid of the nfc requirement if your using the front panel or xyz tools. looks like cura works with out a chip in the printer.

So, using cura appears to bypasses the spool security completely, with the only issue being you need to print from USB and have cura monitor open while printing. As the gcode is being sent direct to the printer from cura and not going through the XYZ control chip this should work for Nano and Mini as well as Jr printers. I can confirm it works with my Mini W+.

Hi, I'm using NFC tags with XYZPrint. My printer is the Mini W with firmware 1.3.1. To print with Cura I need to update the firmware to 1.3.7 or 1.3.9 (I'm not sure). Could you please tell me which version is yours?

Thanks!
