Topic: Would it be possible to use Filament PLA ABS with the da Vinci mini w?

Hello

I would like to know if I can also use PLA ABS with my "da Vinci mini w"? In the document it is off course not mentoined, but because I now own a 3-1 chip from modfreakz, I have the possibility to use other filament!

What is the optimum Temperatur für PLA ABS? 220 degrees?

There is  no such thing as PLA ABS. It is either PLA which is what the Da Vince machines normally use or it is ABS. Two different materials. You cannot use ABS in a stock machine. It cannot get hot enough and you need a bed that can be heated to 80c minimum. The hotend needs to be able to reach 250c although you will be printing closer to 235c for ABS. The machine is designed for PLA so I would advise you stay with PLA. If you want to do ABS, save your money and get a second machine that is made for more than PLA only.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
