Topic: Impossible to Print with Layer height of 0.02mm?

Hello

I did some testing with fine 3D Printing. The 0.1 & 0.05 is working fine with the "da vinci mini w", but as soon as I want to use the 0.02mm layer it doesn't work

The Raft is printed fine but as soon as it will print the figur the nozzle went through the just printed material and destroyed the 3D print :-(

I want to made 3D figures for RC boats, the scale is about 1:18 and the deepth is about 2.8cm (the total length of the legs is 5.5cm, based on a normal body length from 180cm)

I also reduced the Generell Settings (sorry about the screencopy in German Languege, the XYZPrint for Mac isn't able to change to English, this is only availible for Windows :-(

I reduced the Speed to only 20mm/s

The Fundament is changed to the following Settings

The auto-calibration found a new value after I installed BuildTax surface from 2.4 to 2.9mm

Who is able to correct my settings to work correct with 0.02mm layer height

What is wrong here? I made a correction of the Z position from 0.15mm, it doesn't help?

I can't image that I am the only person with such issues :-(

I am sure it has something to do with finding the correct setting of the "sweet spot" and propably another parameter :-(

The machine is marketed as .1 being it's lowest resolution. So you are expecting too much from it. The raft is never printed at the set resolution but much thicker.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

THX, 100 microns, strange that the "native" software allows also 50 and 20 microns ?!? Badly programmed :-(
