Topic: No power to da Vinci 1.0a with three lights on motherboard

I upgraded to an e3d v6 a couple weeks back and it got clogged so I removed the nozzle and everything was unclogged and going well, I fitted it all back in and turned it on and smoke came from the hot end, (fan cable got caught against heater block) and now th system won't power on and just flashes 3 lights on motherboard when attempting 12v, 3v and 5v lights, I got a feeling this has burnt out the thermister too, could someone help resolve this situation and get my printer back working

Thank you http://soliforum.com/i/?43EUe98.jpg

I'm having the same issue.  What is the remedy or solution?

If the three power LEDs on the board is flashing then that means there is still a short somewhere and that the power supply is resetting to avoid damage. You should try to disconnect the heaters, fans, and thermistors at the board and see if the LEDs still flash. If they do then your short is on the board now. My guess is the driver for that fan is now blown and shorted.
