Topic: Nozzles for XYZ Minimaker

I am trying to change my nozzle size so that I can attempt to print with wood filament can anyone help me figure out if I can just buy a set on amazon like https://www.amazon.com/LUTER-Extruder-N … amp;sr=8-5 or if I have to buy the whole module listed on the xyz website.
Any Help is appreciated:)

You can't just change the nozzle size. you will also have to change the step per mm on the extruder and you will need access to the firmware for that. Now if you do have access to the firmware then you will want to use a .6mm nozzle minimum.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Ok thank you for letting me know I wanted to try printing with some more exotic filaments but for the price of the whole module on the xyz website I might as well buy an ender 3.

Re: Nozzles for XYZ Minimaker

A few comments and observations . These nozzles  are CHEAP Chinese knockoffs. the hex size is listed as 6 mm as apposed the 7 mm hex of a genuine e3d also the thread length is a full 2mm less than the real nozzle. So these may not be reliable.  that 2 mm difference  could cause retraction issues and the hex size could cause leaks.

That said for the price they are very tempting as you can get 24 nozzles for the price of one genuine one.
so a great value or expensive scrap in the end  ??
