Im wondering how long it will take for someone to buy one and reverse engineer it?

Why? It's the same as the Emutag. If anything they bought an Emutag and mass produced a version for their machines. All they are saying is we give up. You beat us and instead of fighting we are going to sell you the key to beating us. Still trying to make a buck even in the end.
