Topic: Pro 1.0 E3D Titan Aero Upgrade Help

Hello all,

I have a E3D Titan Aero and wanted to know I can get some help/advice on how to put it in my Pro1.0?
I'm not very good with this stuff so I have no idea where to begin. I've seen online a few people said they did it but didn't really say how, and there's a holder on Thingiverse but it's from years ago and in beta still and has no instructions.
Could anyone help me with this issue or direct me someplace that can help me?

Not to seem rude but why would you buy an upgrade with no knowledge of how to do it or even if it is possible to do? I mean at least research and make sure you have everything necessary including the parts and know how before dropping cash on an expensive upgrade.

The Pro 1.0 is an oddball machine and not many have one.

the titan aero is not a difficult upgrade. it basically bolts to the face of the stepper motor and you can add a thinner motor at the same time. there are a couple of things . one e you need to be able to change steps as it has a 3:1 gear ratio. 2 you need to be able to change direction ether by swapping wires or in the firmware logic, and last but not least you need to be able to set the proper thermistor in firmware. the other thing is you need a 2mm shim or mounting plate between the motor an the titan extruder. I fabricated them from aluminum. but they can be 3d printed. (before you tear things apart.)

E3d has instruction on how to mount and set u the best resource I know of. It will not have specifics for your machine.
