Topic: thinking of buying an ultamaker 3 any comments

I have had a Makerbot Replicator 2X and it is showing a lot of use and ware ( over 4000 hours)
I am thinking of getting a Ultimaker 3 is it a good reliable machine.
I know it is a proprietary machine buy I have no problem with that as long as it is reliable.

Thanks
Dale

It's up to you but I would never spend that much for an FDM system. My Anycubic 4MAX kit I bought will print very well done to .025mm with no issue other than time. That kit was only $250 with shipping.

it's your money of course and it may come easy to you so you get what you want. For me that machine is way over priced for what it does and you are only paying for the name.

It also uses Cura so it may not actually be proprietary as it seems you can also use open market filament as well.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.
