Topic: MP Mini V2

http://soliforum.com/i/?KhxXx4n.jpgI got this printer second hand with a couple of mods done. The wiring has been rerouted for the bed. I am wondering if there are issues that might have been caused by the mod or if its just the printer. First off when I home the axis the nozzle goes to the corner of the whole plate and not the build mat area. Which makes me wonder because that doesn't seem right to me. The nozzle ends up being right over the leveling screw, not sure if thats right or wrong. Secondly When I move the plate towards the front to the max, the nozzle ends up coming short of the build mat. Lastly, When I move the extruder all the way to the right it ends up being off the build plate completely not by much but still. Let know if you guys have any solutions or ideas as to what could be wrong if its suppose to be like that.

Re: MP Mini V2

Home for printers is usually not on the plate or in a printable area. The home on my 4Max is like 1 inch off the bed in the front left corner of the machine. It all depends on where the endstops are physically located and set for.

As long as it is moving to the center or there about to start a print it should be fine.

Just make sure your print is never larger than the beds physical dimensions as it sounds like the soft endstops in your firmware are set to high. The MAX should be set to the MAX printable size of your bed. This normally keeps the head from moving past the beds MAX boundaries.

I wouldn't mess with the firmware as long as things are working. Just don't print larger than the physical size of your bed.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

Re: MP Mini V2

Update. Been fiddling with bed and have gotten some good prints. Looks like I need to mess with the settings in order to get my overall quality of prints better. Thanks for all the info. I just wanted to make sure everything was in order before I started printing as I had no idea whether the mods were done right. It looks to be working well though.
