Topic: Da Vinci mini maker spool holder broken off missing nfc reader

Anyone know where I can find the reader for this printer or a solution. I have 3 full spools I cant use because the spool holder on the side broke off and the reader underneath is missing. I see the connector where it's suppose to connect to. So I'm trying to either sorce the card or find a solution. Any help or sources would be greatly appreciated. I attached the jpg of a picture of the card im looking for

Welcome to the venus fly trap of 3d printers  (my opinion of course)
These folks excel at marketing , have not/useless tech support.
they make an ok printer then lock it down with proprietary software.

If the option is there return this and get your money back

There may be someone here that has a parts machine that can help you or someone that has hacked there machine and no longer needs the card.

Re: Da Vinci mini maker spool holder broken off missing nfc reader

I fixed it I applied my micro soldering skills. I took a full spool card removed the chip saved that for transfer to reuse it. There two pads below the chip where a capaciter was ommitted off the board. I soldered to one pad one end of a 2.7 ohm 1/4 watt resistor 2r7. And on the other end of the resistor I soldered it to a connector that fit to that machine. Repeat the same steps on the other pad. Same resistor rating and solder to the other pin. So it should go like this pad ->resistor -> wire to pin on connector
Other pad -> resistor -> wire to other pin on connector

Works like a charm now it sees the spool.
I attached the file of a pic of it
