The connector is the kind used on ATX motherboards, cut to 8 pins. Because I had them available now, and they fit, and would easily handle the current. It's not good to be using parts right at their absolute maximum ratings. I found the bad connector while doing my first build plate upgrade -
New FLAT build plate. This worked better than I even expected! I ran a test print of small parts, located in each corner and the center - they all came off with similar effort /ease, and the squish of the first layer looks closer than I have ever seen, if not identical,
