XYZ Da Vinci AIO connection troubles

Hello All,

A few years ago I bought an XYZ Davinci AIO. In the very beginning I had problems with it connecting to my Laptop, and even when it did seem to connect I would have to turn the printer, load the program (XYZware), the model I want to print and send it to print within a short period of time (maybe 10-15 seconds). Then and only then it might finally go to print.

My Desktop doesn’t even recognise that I have connected the printer via USB, not even anything in Manage devices changes, so my laptop is the only thing that can (sometimes) connect with the printer.

It is not possible to load the XYZware edit my model then send it, as it would take too long. By then the printer will be disconnected, sometimes it says that the printer is disconnected, printer error or sometimes nothing at all.

In XYZware the printer says that there is a firmware update though when I try to do this it loads part of the way then stalls, and says firmware update failed.

I have managed to send some small files to print a handful of times, this includes misprints which I would assume I would learn how to overcome (and sometimes have) however being that it takes hours just to get something to print this means the learning process is incredibly long.
I have tried XYZ Customer support multiple times and seeing as the most advanced help they provide is “Have you tried using another USB cable?” and “uninstall and reinstall XYZware” (both of which have been tried numerous times) I highly doubt trying them again would be of any use.

I have considered flashing the printer to Repetier rather than the stock but I don’t know if this will even solve my problem (as I don’t know exactly where the problem lies).

Does anybody have any suggestions?
