Topic: DaVinci 1.0a LCD quit working and Extruder wont heat up

I am looking for some help I have a DaVinci 1.0a and the LCD screen quit working today and the extruder wont heat up anymore there is also what seems to be a buzzer going off intermittently. 
I have flashed this printer with Repetier Host and installed a clone E3dV6.
I am going to try a thermister change but I cant see how that will help with the LCD screen.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
