Topic: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 titan aero mod

Hi there was wondering if anyone has attempted a titan aero mod

was considering a e3d v6 mod until I saw this with the shorter hot end in theory would be a better fit
and not lose any z axis

any thoughts on this ?

Re: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 titan aero mod

I am planning on putting a titan aero in my 1.0a in the coming week, I will keep you posted. I have designed a theoretical carriage to use but I will most likely need to reprint it once I have the titan aero.

Re: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 titan aero mod

I have Titan Aero in my Davinci 1.0 . Used stock carriage but had to mount the Volcano nozzle to have enough clearance for the nozzle to touch the table.

Volcano nozzle longer or shorter than the stock aero ?

I have no idea if you'll be able to see anything, but here are some pictures.
Volcano is much longer than regular Aero nozzle.[http://soliforum.com/i/?bSCn29n.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?jDDPUBa.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?3Z0nozU.jpghttp://soliforum.com/i/?j9N4c1X.jpg

Re: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 titan aero mod

are you using the stock holes on the carriage ?
looks like the whole unit is moved up like the e3d v6 mods

Re: XYZPrinting Davinci 1.0 titan aero mod

All holes are stock. Didn't have to drill anything.
