Topic: daVinci jr extruder carriage gap

I found on my daVinci 1.0 3in1 that there is a gap of about 1mm between the extruder carriage and the rail where it is sliding on.
I disassembled the printer and found a white clamp at the back of the carriage that seems to springload the carriage to the rail. Is this clamp loosing its tension? Or is it normal that you can shake the extruder unit forward/backward by 1mm?
