Topic: Atlas 3d versus cheap $109 gearbest scanner

I've been watching a lot of youtube videos but didn't see much on the Atlas.  I pulled the trigger on the Atlas 3d and  the acrylic enclosure for aesthetic reasons only.  I'm hoping to hear some feed back and links to videos and pictures of scans to confirm I made the right choice.  I can't wait until it arrives.  What are your thoughts and feedback comparing the two.  Thanks in advance.  smilehttp://soliforum.com/i/?hgFdOFB.jpg

I ordered in the beginning and was never able to get useful scans.  =/  I know some others have, though.

You might find an option like Photogammatry gives you better quality scans and you can use it n much larger objects.

The software like Meshroom is also free.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

This post is in the wrong forum, it should be moved to the Atlas 3D & FreeLSS.

There you will be able to find many posts with helpful instructions, tutorials and samples of what some folks have achieved with the Atlas 3D scanner.

To print or, 3D print, that is the question...
SD3 printer w/too many mods,  Printrbot Simple Maker Ed.,  FormLabs Form 1+
AnyCubic Photon, Shining 3D EinScan-S & Atlas 3D scanners...
...and too much time on my hands.
