Topic: Not printing holes. DaVinci Jr. 1.0

Howdy! So, today I noticed that my 3d printer is not printing holes. I made a phone stand in TinkerCAD with some holes inside (for economy) but I see when it prints that there are no holes (filled fully). How to repair this, please?

What are your settings in your slicer?

What is slicer? I think is software for converting STL to 3W?

That would be correct, or what are the settings you use in your XYZ software? When you create an object to print, you don't create the internal holes at that stage. In your software there are settings for infill and you control how solid the object is that way and that allows for the amount of filament used as well.

check that your holes in cad are proper holes, not just solid cylinders, in my cad you have to use a subtract tool to remove the cylinder from the main item to create a hole, or punch the hole through a part (or to a set depth ) using a cutting curve (or shape), even then it can leave the cylinder remaining (but as a separate part).

I was thinking the same thing, good suggestion!

I am doing the same things but nothing happens. Now I am trying to solve the problem using Carl's solution.

I do seem to recall an option in the xyz print software to create a hollow item
