So I have been on a steep learning curve and have managed to get my kit delta mini kossel.

I have got through most of the calibration but am stuck on an issue. My z height is around 301 yet if I home it to the top and then manually bring the extruder down using rep host it hits the bed at around 400. How do I adjust the travel per mm.....

thanks

ok why dont my quick replys get posted but quotes do?

the arrows on control screen in RH have 3 different sections with different amounts of travel if hover mouse over them when printers connected.

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

That is normal. Delta printer build volume height is lower than max z height. It have something to do with how the printer works.

As shown above, delta printer build volume (light blue color) at top is a cone, the z height 300 mm you mentioned is height of the edge and the 400 mm (usually is 384 mm or something like that) is the height of the center.

Someone with better English may explain it better.

Maybe so, that doesn’t change the fact that you “Report” yourself fairly routinely.  This was one of those times.

Re: Sonnerie de telephone

the text box bottom of page has no report button just submit/preview but yes the report button is in same spot most other forums have reply which only has 2 letters changed so... most report buttons are top right corner of post or in the edit, delete, report drop down menu. wish this site also had like button for posts for agreeing with a comment like most groups. maybe agree/disagree. it would save replies I think.

Re: Sonnerie de telephone

the whole point of a forum is participation.
this is not facebook. (thank goodness)

I belong to many forums - may not be real active in most of them any more - but I do still check in to them, and there a multitude of different layouts. no two are identical - even those using the exact same hosting software have different layouts.

I suppose you could always start your own forum and set it up the way you want it.

SD4 #1 & #2 - Lawsy carriages, E3D v6, Rumba controller board, mirror bed plate, X motor fan, upgraded PSU & Mica bed heater
SD4 #3 - in the works ~ Folgertech FT-5, rev 1

Re: Sonnerie de telephone

So I have been on a steep learning curve and have managed to get my kit delta mini kossel.

I have got through most of the calibration but am stuck on an issue. My z height is around 301 yet if I home it to the top and then manually bring the extruder down using rep host it hits the bed at around 400. How do I adjust the travel per mm.....

thanks

First of all I am no expert on deltas i did contemplate building one and may still  but not yet.
There are several factors to consider
you need to have proper z height set up in firmware , host and slicer. and yes you need the Z steps per mm set properly . if your firmware chit chat is turned on this is easy if not you need to turn it on or set it in the firmware.
Have you figured thing out yet or do you still need help.
