Topic: old Form labs printers worth getting if cheap?

saw one of the 1st models on ebay for about $100 wouldnt turn on with pic inside back cover looked like some pins on board missing something. didnt know if it was much quality even if working or if parts are available though

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

They have a bad issue with the galvos staying aligned and that is something that needs to be done by them and they (Formlabs) no longer support it so they will charge you an arm and a leg to do it. But if you want to tinker and learn the workings of a laser based SLA machine it's not a bad deal for $100 and could be an easy fix..

If you can stretch your budget a little, I can highly recommend the Anycubic Photon.
It's a fantastic little machine, the print quality is off the scale !
