Topic: Sketchup size gradients?

If I wanted to create text or some parallel object that decreases in size over distance like say the Superman credits how could I do that?

Re: Sketchup size gradients?

now your talking design which is done with one of the many 3D Cad/slicer programs which is a whole other tech world and many here have several for such work but most of us stick to the low/No cost versions or search file depositories like Thingiverse or https://www.yobi3d.com/#!/ to find what we like or a designer that can do it as We dont have a degree in CAD design lol. I have only self designed a couple easy projects for replacement parts of things around the house after like 5 years playing with the freeware ones plus many years in 2D like 'MS Paint' beginners should use pre made STL (or what ever type your printer uses) files til your good with dealing with 3D printer so not to burn out your brain before getting started good. this too can be found in the archives here.

Solidoodle 2 with Deluxe kit cover & glass bed with heater. and 2nd board SD2 used not 3rd and alum platform not installed yet still wood. also need cooling fan installed to board. use Repetier Host couple vers. Slic3r also have all free ware STL programs

I would suggest searching thingiverse for customizable lithograph also as anything you can take a photo of can be done in there

I think I figured it out with text anyway. Just extrude text back and rescale the 2D text at far end and all parallel lines connecting both ends with stay connected.
