Topic: Makerbot desktop discontinued do you recommend Simplify3d

I have a Makerbot Replicator 2X (duel extruder) and Makerbot had discontinued the Makerbot desktop software. for Makerbot print which does not work with the 2X.
do you recommendSimplify3d as a replacement.
