Topic: DaVinci 1.0 replacement X Carriage

I'm trying to find a replacement X Carriage (printed or not) for my DaVinci 1.0.  I would like it to carry the E3D V6 hot end and the original direct drive extruder.  I have found plenty for the Bowden extruder, but none for direct drive.  If it's identical to the original, I'd happily modify it again.

I broke the little crappy tab that locks the belt to the X carriage.

All thanks for the help in advance.

Aaron

You can't fix stupid but you can print a lighted 3D warning sign.

Re: DaVinci 1.0 replacement X Carriage

Thank you for all of the suggestions.  I've looked at all of these, and they all come close but sadly none are "perfect".  One does not allow for the stock E3D fan, one drops the Z height (bad for a couple of things I REALLY want to print) and the one is only the direct drive idler pulley replacement but will come in handy when this one breaks.

I would download the one that is closest for the E3D and modify it, but I'm not that skilled any more with 3D design to get it right.  My friend that can print it lives 3 hrs away so that would be a fortune in gas or shipping costs if I don't get it right.  I'd recreate the original in Blender, but again my skill level is back to a noobie level (AutoCad 9 was the last 3D software I used).

Indeed, all I really need is something to hold the belt to the original carrier.

Re: DaVinci 1.0 replacement X Carriage

LOL, nothing is perfect, and you can always find way to improve it. Practically, I would print the one drops the z height and get the machine work first. Then figure out how to modify the design to regain the z height and print with your own machine.

ThinkerCAD.com is a 3D design tool for newbies, it take less than one hour to go through the class and you will be able to do what you need to do with that. It is really really easy to learn.
