Topic: Sketchup Follow Me Tool.

I have recently discovered the cool shapes the follow me tool can create. However it appears that the final object is treated as one thing without multiple surfaces. How can that be? And can I "explode" it into an object with many sides and points that can be edited further?

Also is there a way to create the follow me tool as a tool bar tool instead of just in the drop down menu?

I've used Follow Me to create various curves and arcs.  I'll have to go back and play with it.
