I wouldn't mind having a Press to rehab, but for the amount of work required in upgrades, I'm not sure I'd be a player at $225.
I wonder if they bought the whole auction lot, or if they pieced it out. If this seller only bought Presses, then maybe the auction house will let someone buy the frames. Does anyone have the link, is it still active?
this e-bay seller sells mostly clothes hmmm.
The Maltz Auctions site for Solidoodle is still up. It looks unchanged from when it was originally posted; hard to tell what the status is.
The Maltz auction sold awhile ago, all of it. Someone has a ton of spare parts, or frankenstein machines.
Because it only offers Press and filament, it looks more like a simple liquidator than a bidder. No Workbenches, SD4s, and none of the SD2/3 printer farm.
Cannot wait for that to go on sale...
I think some body should redesign the X. Y. Z carriages on SD press,
at least let it works, then you can sell upgraded parts or devices to
the existing PRESS buyers, maybe it is a good business, because there
are few thousand failing SD press in current market, and who like
to spend few hundred dollars baying a junk press?
