Topic: Where to buy heater-pad to upgrade platform?

I am trying to compile a list of sources to buy a heater-pad to upgrade the stock aluminum plate/resistor platform.

I have read the posts on the subject here but was wondering about other options and my own search has been not turned up much.

I am not interested in the one from Solidoodle themselves.  Considering the experience I had with the initial purchase, etc. I wouldn't even consider purchasing from them again.... ever.

http://www.panucatt.com/product_p/hbp200.htm has a good one but I think it is 8x8 so it will only work on the SD3

I have a big guide to doing this upcoming with STLs for adaptor and glass holding parts, and a guide to updating the firmware to suit.

Really looking forward to that guide lawsy. Kind of lost when it comes to knowing relays etc. Would a 12v automotive relay run the 6x6 bed?

Waiting on a replacement aluminium bed from Solidoodle.

First time around I hacked my original one up making up my solution as I went. For tyhe guide I'll be presenting a much easier to fit system with less grinding and more printed adapter parts.

The first pic is very similar but mine was slightly worse because I removed the entire rectangle before changing my mind and welding it back on.

I'm designing a printable spacer that has the correct indentation in it for easy fitment.

My glass clamps still need four holes drilled but this is easy and unnecessary for those still using binder clips.
