Topic: Microwave bowl holder

The only thing that would be better would be if you didn't have to clean the bowl. So I'm wondering if I could build an ABS framework to hold a heavy duty paper bowl and make it just as cool to the touch to handle the outer ABS framework.

This naturally leads to the question: Is ABS microwave safe? Will sitting in a microwave heat it up, or ignore it utterly? I suppose I could experiment to find out, but I thought I'd ask here as well.

Note that food isn't going to be in contact with the plastic, just the outside of the paper bowl, so I wouldn't think food-safe would come into play.

As long as there is no moisture in the material the microwave will not make it get hot. However the contents of the container can make it get hot from that heat source.
