Topic: Problem with filament

Hello, I have a problem and I could not solve it.

I have a davinci 1.0, to which I reset the filament cartridge and buy generic filament, everything seemed to be in order, for more than a week I had no problems, but now the filament is jamming, that is to say, And it does not come out of the extruder, I thought it was covered so I clean it and unclog it, I probe with another cartridge used with original filament and had no major problem, but with the generic filament is constantly stuck, any of you can help me?.

Thank you, any kind of help or comment thanks.

It's just bad filament. It comes with the hobby.  See if you can exchange it.  Otherwise just replace it.  I have 4 rolls myself that just will not work.

Thank you, what kind of filament do you recommend or what brand?

I always buy Microcenters house brand called Inland. Have had reasonable luck with it. But it would seem you get what you pay for so more it cost chances are the less of a chance of getting a lemon there is. But keep in mind that even the best brands have lemon rolls sometimes.

also keep in mind there can be different temps and setting required . sometime difference between colors and sometimes the same brand will "Improve the material"
I have seen a 20 degree difference in recomended temp in the inland brand PLA and some rolls are not marked so a good practice to mark the roll . DAMHIKT.

Re: Problem with filament

Dang, I never even thought there would be such a thing as a lemon roll (most damage due to poor packaging). Guess that's another reason to get a Filastruder then.

Filastruder 2607 w/ Filawinder @1.75mm.
Dual-extruder MaxMicron Prusa Mendel: RAMPS 1.4 w/ Repetier Firmware+Full Graphic LCD Controller, stock hotends, 3Dator extruders w/ MK8 gears, insulated enclosure w/ 2 heat lamps, RPi 2B w/ Repetier Server.
0.1-0.2mm layer height, heated bed w/ PEI surface, inductive-sensor autolevel, 0.5mm to 0.2mm nozzle diameters.
