Topic: Z axis freezes beginning of print

I built a 3d printer and so far everything has gone great, when i went to go print itll act like its going to auto level, the z axis goes up and down a couple times to get the first point, it then freezes and buzzes. Once the extruder heats up to the temp i set it at it starts printing where it froze. Any idea on whats causing this?

Check your homing speed in your configuration.h. Sounds like it is set too fast for your motors.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

well lets put it this way, problem solved. As for what the issue was there was a LOT. But the main thing was the mm/s set for the z motors during print. Thank ya all

Im glad you managed to fix this. So was the issue the mm/s being too fast for the z motor?
