Topic: 3DS Sense 3D Scanner

I'm looking for opinions from anyone that has tried this system.  This may be my next purchase.

If you build it they will come. Then they will make fun of it, tell you it's not worth doing and go home and try to copy you.
If a picture is worth a thousand words then being there is worth a thousand pictures.

(2) Stock Makerbot Z18s, Filastruder w/Melt Filter, Filawinder, Autodesk Inventor Design Suite 2014 .........so far.

I have read some good and bad reviews on it. I have a Structure sensor that is used with my iPad,I am very pleased with it.I have been scanning folks and making bobble heads.

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Are you speaking of the iSense scanner? It looks good from the reviews I've seen. Thinking of getting it too

I have a Structure scanner  which looks exactly like the iSence. It works real well,very pleased with it.

Hi I have a Sense scanner and am new to the 3D world. I used it with the Kscan software and it worked great. I think better than the original software. I'm not sure if I changed any settings but I'm getting lots of dark areas and the scan distance is not what it was when I first tried it, even after adjusting the Z scale parameters etc. Is anyone familiar with this?

Hi friends! I have a Structure sensor. My friend told me that its absolutely the same as iSense , though a little bit cheaper. I am not 100% sure but he is quite knowledgeable about that stuff. My opinion is that if you need 3D scanner for home use, for example scanning people for fun or someobjects - it Ok. But if you need it for some work, the resolution most likely wouldn't be enough
