Topic: Extruder motor not working

I have just replaced the Arduino board, but now I cannot use any motor connected to the Extruder ports.

I have swapped drivers over, no good.

When I swap motor ports, the one on the Extruder port still will not print.

Does this imply that the new board is also faulty?

there are two extruder pots on the ramps board have you tried the second one. if you replaced the arduino you also have replaced the firmware. IIRC you need to make sure that extruder port is turned on you should be on extuder 0  on the board and extruder 1 in the slicer /host software . also is the extruder up to temp  most firmware you can not even jog the extruder if it is cold.

I used that uploaded same firmware as the previous board where I could move the extruder at will.

I have tried both Extruder ports, also swapped driver boards, even plugged in he x axis motor, but no response.

Will try heating it up and see if that changes anything.

This board may be different as now that I have turned on the heater it moves, at least for now, thanks for the help Tin

glad to help. As I said I just built a prusa I3 2020 getting things running takes time, troubleshooting ,and patience.
