Topic: Hello from NYC.

Hey guys, got my Solidoodle at the end of December, and I'm a total newbie when it comes to 3D printing and 3D modeling. I do however have a lot of experience in design (websites, print, etc.) which has come in pretty handy so far. Have been teaching myself using these forums, Ian's blog, and Lawsy's awesome stuff. Just thought I'd say hi.

Does that mean you guys offer local pickup? or your "factory" is somewhere else.

That would have been awesome when my Solidoodle was shipped. Took UPS a week to get it to me when I could have spent half an hour picking it up. I live in Lower Manhattan so the trip to Brooklyn is really short.

Can Solidoodle provide local pickup service on printer and filament?
It might be a little messy at the factory side but in return, buyer can get more discount without shipping cost.

Good sugguestion? or too much hassle? or try case by case, email request for pickup?
