Has anyone ever tried this Trinpy service?
It's a complete ripoff. I created an account so I can download this model. When I clicked on Download this model, it opened up a new page, and nothing else happened. No download, nothing. I clicked reload, nothing.
When I went back to the download page, it counted as yet a third download. I clicked on a different download, the same thing, opens up a new page, and fails. When I tried again, it said No downloads remaining, and asked for $119 AUD for a membership.
SAY WHAT ???? What kind of crooked crap is this ?

At least by now I don't think it is a rip-off, it maybe a misunderstand,
some makers, include me here had published the many objects on this website,
and the 3D printer users had downloaded them for half year, they have
different programs, #1 is 4 free downloads per month without any fee,
but the program, $119 is for an unlimited downloads, and for all programs
you have to register (free) first.
It is a startup company, may have some mistakes in programming, you
can contact their customer service to solve this problem.
If you need, I can transfer your comments to their manager.

Go ahead and let them know if you'd like, but personally I have no interest in this.
It would interesting to see how many people here tried it, and successfully downloaded a model for free.

Hi Pirvan, Andrew here from Trinpy, AOYOU3D pointed me to this thread. I'm sorry to hear about the problem you were having, if you let me know your username I can look into the problems and upgrade your account to get more free downloads.
It is possible there was an error with our system, I'll look into the technical details. If you click on download a model then you are redirected to a page where the STL files are available, you then click on these files to download them individually or as a zip file. If you clicked download and were redirected to the page where the STL files were but didnt download them then the system would still count them as a download.
I apologise for the inconvenience and hope we can fix this for you as soon as possible.

To clarify, I created an account, went to the object I wanted, clicked on Download this model, a new page loaded, or rather tried to load, and there was nothing on it. There were no errors, the page appears to be completely loaded, but there's nothing on the page, nor does it ever prompt you to save a file.
So after it did this once, I clicked the reload button, twice, still nothing, then went back to the original model page, and clicked on Download this model again, still nothing. I then tried to download a different model, and got the page with:
No downloads remaining.
Please consider upgrading your membership.
An unlimited membership gives you access to unlimited downloads for 12 months!
Anyway, while I appreciate your offer, I'll probably not use the site anyway, so feel free to delete my account. User name is Dudeman.

Ah crap, sorry pirvan, sounds like a technical issue on our end. I'll get it looked into, I've upgraded your account anyway so your welcome to try and download any models you would like or not bother.

i tired it once, but also have no interest in this site - there are plenty of other places that do not limit the number of free downloads.

No worries, the site is not for everyone. It's for designers who want to earn some money for their hard work and for people who think that's fair and want to support the designers so that they continue to release their great designs.
