Topic: homing issues on the solidoodle press

SO when my press homes to X/Y and Z it buzzes and tries to move past the end stop.  How can I fix this so it stops where it should stop?  It appears there is no issues in the end stop itself.

Is there a way in software to set it?

if so what does it need to be set too?

also I believe solidoodle calls this binding when the endstop designed to tell the printer when it hits the home/end travel location does not pop on.

Sounds like the endstops are not functioning.  If they were unplugged or a loose connection you would get what you describe.  The switch actually opens the circuit when it is depressed.

Binding is when a rod is bent, or a bearing is bad and the carriage or other axiz will stop at certain points along the travel even when moved by hand.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

fixed it or so it seems.  They did not grease the rails so I sprayed them with some silicone brake lube which is good for 3d printers as its non flamable and doesnt dry out easily with high heat.  Now it appears to be hitting the end stop and not buzzing.  But I havent printed yet so thats the true test.
