Topic: Rambo E0 Incorrect Temp

Hey guys,
I'm helping my friend build his first printer. It is a Prusa3D printer running Ramps 1.3 and an E3d extruder with the semitek 100k thermistor.

The board is constantly displaying the extruder temp to be at 131 degrees when sitting at room temperature. No fluctuations or anything. Always 131 degrees.

I opened up the extruder(which was pre-assembled), and the thermister was a little exposed and not right looking. I had built my own E3dv6 a few days before so I know what it should look like.

In the process i broke the thermistor, so we ordered a new one and it will arrive shortly.

Now the really weird part: When the thermistor was disconnected from the board, the MIN-Temp error popped up(as it should), when the thermistor was removed from the heat block, it still read 131 degrees, and when it broke, it still read 131 degrees instead of a MIN-Temp error like it should.

Is it a problem with the firmware? I doubt it since it errored when the thermistor was unplugged. Or like i expected; a bad or poorly assembled thermistor that needed to be replaced anyway?

Thank you guys for any help. I'll make sure my buddy makes an account on here.

Re: Rambo E0 Incorrect Temp

Check the firmware settings. The thermistor should be 5.
A broken thermistor or an incorrect thermistor setting in the firmware can cause this. Since you already installed a new thermistor, the firmware is most likely to blame.

If you are using a Ramps 1.3 why do you have a RAMBO anything?
