Topic: printer randomly freezes

My press randomly freezes.  The head just stops wherever it was when it happens.  Heat to the nozzle and the bed stays on and the software side acts like its still working on the part.  This happens probably every other part or so.  Anyone had this issue?

Once or twice but mine could be fixed by touching the on off button which is also the pause button in soliprint.

Your right!  If I press the button after it freezes it makes the green light flash.  If I press it again after that it continues.  Except mine is freezing almost every job.  I wonder what is the problem?

Re: printer randomly freezes

Sounds more like a loose connection somewhere creating interference.  Could be at the PSU side of things.

Re: printer randomly freezes

The only time mine has frozen was when the computer went to sleep (I didn't touch the computer for 10 minutes). I downloaded the app "caffeine" which keeps my mac from going to sleep and it has worked perfectly since. So, it may be the connection or computer and not the printer.

Re: printer randomly freezes

I had this happen during the summer...it seemed to be caused by my portable A/C unit kicking on and off...turned out it was on the same circuit as the printer.  I switched it over to another outlet and that seemed to fix it.

Are there any other appliances sharing the circuit?
