Topic: Turntable liner

Is the turntable liner shown in the assembly video the same thing as drawer liner material for tool boxes? What is the purpose of this and does it just sit on the turntable or do you affix it with glue?

It sits on the turntable and is used to prevent the object from sliding during a scan while also reducing laser reflections off the turntable.
