Topic: Curling in overhangs

Hello everyone
I already saw this topic in another post, but i can't get an answer. So my problem is that  overhangs it tends to curl up.
Print
ABS-plastic

speed 40mm/s sometimes 60 mm/s
Temp 230º sometimes 250º
Bed temp 100º

I change my extrusion from 95 to 80 and i got the same results,
minimun layer time 25s

i ran out of ideas about it, I even tried a fan blowing direct to the extruder and i get the same results
Hope osme can help me, thanks

I upload some photos of the problem

Re: Curling in overhangs

Is that PLA or ABS? For an object that size I would be printing at closer to 20 or 30mm/s. I also would make a layer fan that fit on my extruder so that the cool air could hit the layer directly and more concentrated.

Sorry i forgot to mention, it is ABS, at 0.2mm layer height, the problem is lees noticeable at 0.3 mm, but is still present

Re: Curling in overhangs

For sure if you are printing at .2 on such a small object you should slow down to 20 to 30 mm/s. Even if layer time is set to 25 seconds I have not had much luck myself with that working all the time.

Re: Curling in overhangs

You could flip the object and use supports in the middle. That would get tid of the overhang. Some parts are just problem parts and sometimes need creativity to print them.
