Not while it is in the machine.
Use Wifi SDCard
Do they make wifi microSD?
Do they make wifi microSD?
If he has s first or second gen 1.0 they use the standard size sdcard.
But know that I see he has s blue 1.0a that rules out a standard sdcard. I dont think they have made the wireless tech small enough yet to fit a micro sd as well.
just use adapter - like this one : http://www.dx.com/p/sd-to-microsd-trans … f_6NN-qpBc
have a lot of models for all prices
I tried one of those adaptors, but it seems like the adapter/extender is drawing too much power. The printer becomes unresponsive when I have it plugged in. I might try a different one one of these days.

Would a cable like this work? Or maybe two connected in series? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/48CM-TF- … .11.14O4cY
That's the same one that I got and it didn't work for me.
I would suggest a short one, like the one I showed (>2cm), a long one like this one (48cm) may need more power than Davinci provide.
Thanks Luc. I bought a couple so we'll see how they work out.
one thing with wifi SD Card, be careful with the model you take, not everyone allows upload as they are usually used just to download images from camera.
Toshiba one, the one I use on my 2.0, allows upload and download, and it has a nice SDK for additional functions.
Just FYI
Thanks Luc. I bought a couple so we'll see how they work out.
Any update on if the adapter Luc recommended worked (maybe too soon )? I am wanting to order a Toshiba Air Card and use this adapter.
This type: http://www.toshiba.com/us/wifi-memory-cards
Luc is this the type you referenced?
Quick question - is there anything on the stock microSD Card that is important to have on the SD with Repetier? I wouldn't think so but I thought I read somewhere that someone swapped their stock one out while on Repetier and had some issues with the printers settings working correctly.
Thanks
Mark

As long as you can copy all the contents of the sdcard the was in the printer when repetier was flashed it will be fine. Most printer motherboards have an EEPROM where settings are stored by the firmware. The Da Vinci board does not have an EEPROM so it is emulated in a file on the sdcard created at flashing.
yes I use flashair 8Go
Repetier use SDCard as EEPROM by emulating in eeprom.bin, so if you want to keep your settings copy this file, this is the only one that need to be kept, if you did not changed anything you can just do a load fail safe setting and save to EEPROM or send M502/M500 they will regenerate clean eeprom.bin on new SD Card
Thanks Carl and Luc. Good to know that information. I assumed the printer had it's own real eeprom.
I am going to try this combo:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UOY … ailpages00
and this adapter:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J21 … ge_o00_s00
The SD card is the updated version of the one Luc has but is a class 10 device. Also the min memory is 16 GB since there is no 8 GB. The adapter is fairly short (9 inches) and the one comment for it said it worked well with a 1.0A.
Anyone see any obvious issues with either?
it is half long as evanalmighty one so I do not know
if it still draining too much power you can try this one :
http://www.amazon.com/SDHC-card-Micro-E … B00KZIBLWS but looks like hard pcb so not sure you will have space to plug it
I can confirm that this particular adapter is working. Now onto the WiFi SD card. Thanks Luc

for the file manager there is the sdk one, or my version https://github.com/luc-github/Flashair-FM
Well, Amazon set me the wrong part 3 different times for the mirco SD to SD connector. I found a different one so I ordered that. It is coming from China or somewhere over there. I also ordered the one evanalmighy referenced above.
I have my wifi card figured out but it is frustrating not being able to connect it to the printer.
Evan if you or anyone else with a 1.0A and a converter use a wifi SD card, please let me know how that is working.
It took me a few hours to get the WiFi card working where you could upload to the card. I have it hooked up to the printer and it's working now. Even though I have it set to never timeout, the WiFi still goes out after some time. I'd have to cycle the power to get it to come back on. I'll keep this one for now, but I'm not completely sold on it. Time will tell.
I never got this issue - my printer is on 24/7 and can access SDCard any time - you may need to flash to latest FW from toshiba - I did it to all my cards (W02 / W03)
Also Webdav access is too slow when HTLM UI is immediate
I guess it is because I did not use the toshiba tool to map the drive but did connection manually - they must change some registry settings

How did you secure yours in your printer since it is short? Tape? The micro SD end from the picture does not look like it could take too much tension once plugged in.
I put a piece of double sided tape to the back of the adapter and secured it to the large processing chip on the board. I was going to hot glue it in place also, but too lazy to look for my hot glue gun.
As a brief update, I was finally able to get the correct Micro SD male to SD female. I ordered it from here:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0085G … ge_o00_s00
I got it from this particular vendor on Amazon directly. I tried ordering it through others that Amazon fulfilled the orders for and they sent me the wrong one 3 times. I would not recommend using a vendor that has Amazon fulfill the order.
This extension is not very long but long enough for me to plug it in the board and route it through the middle cable access port. I will mount it inside the DaVinci with double sided tap.
It seems to work well my with Toshiba FlashAir 16 GB wireless SD card (W-03).

I have not seen a time out since I turned my printer on many hours ago. I mapped the network location on my computer so I can readily access it. I tested a few prints that I sliced with Simplify 3D and did a direct save to the SD card from Simplify 3D. It worked with no issues and allowed me to select the print directly on the printer to print.
Wireless SD is the way to go in my opinion.
