formula one teams have been using 3d printers for quite some time, its only until recently that they are good enough to use in their scale wind tunnel models. The scale are pretty incredible pieces of engineering, they, at times make carbon pieces that deflect in the same way as the full scale parts. because weight is so key i dont think to many parts on final cars will be 3d printed, though getting a metal 3d printer at the track could be very useful for making spares and tweak for some parts on demand.
