Topic: easy z height adjustment.

I haven't done this, but I'd like to document the idea.

I'd like to put a slit on the back side of the case where the z height adjustment screw is, and have some sort of knurled wheel that press fits on the screw head that protrudes out of the back of the case.  maybe even have some numbers on it or lines on it so you can see how far you are adjusting it.

This way you can get at it if the cover is on, and you don't need a tool to do it.

Since the bracket holding the screw is printed, why not just print a new one that sticks out further from the wall and put the thumb screw in.  Not a bad idea though.

You might also add a little plunger or something to the bottom of the screw so the base still reaches far enough back to hit the limit switch.

That's easier than trying to cut the back of the case.  However you would need to take some precautions to avoid getting burned, like moving the extruder to X Home.  I keep a dish towel at hand to heat the bed faster, and also toss it on the bed if I am going to be reaching in there so I don't get burned if I bump into the platform.

I actually want it out the back.  I've got some ideas on how to cut it with a dremel tool, or a nibbler tool.  I'd like a tool free adjustment, and some markings to know how far it's been turned.  I just think overall it's a good idea, there is some major work involved in the modification though.
