Re: Precision 3D Printer Filament now available Made in the USA

We do have a comparison report available between Precision 3D (PVC Spiral) vs. Makerbot. It was done by a neutral 3rd Party which was intentional3D out of Seattle. I will e-mail the report to anybody who asks. I can't attach it because it is too large of a file to attach via this forum site.

Re: Precision 3D Printer Filament now available Made in the USA

I received my roll, and though I haven't printed with it yet, I did measure it-

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ … sp=sharing

Measurements taken about every 2mm, for 5.5m (18ft).  The width of each cell in the chart represents about 50mm (2"), the horizontal lines are .06mm.

Looks like it stays mostly within .03mm, with a total range of about .05mm.  It's a little dusty, it would be a good idea for them to find a way to run it through a sponge to wipe it as it runs on to the spools.  I'm not sure how much that would help since spooling generates a lot of static but it would be worth a try.

Re: Precision 3D Printer Filament now available Made in the USA

Hello everyone I wanted to give you an update on what the owners are thinking.

They were wondering if we sold our filament by weight of 2.5 lbs per spool. We were thinking since we are an American company we might just go with lbs and be .3 lbs more than the standard spool. Thoughts?

Secondly we are looking into providing spools/sets with 3-4 colors at a time as some have suggested.

ABS will be coming soon and I did find out we have the capability to produce 12,700 lbs of filament a day. Anyway I know I have been gone but all of the comments in this thread were printed and reviewed and we certainly appreciate everyone's input.
